The first 21st century skill that I used on this project was my Self Directional skills. She defiantly gave us direction on the specific ways and styles that we would be writing in for a segment of the project, but what we ultimately chose what we wrote about ourselves. The second 21st century skill that I used was Thinking and Problem Solving. We mostly focused on the literacy analysis, but instead of analyzing and writing about a book, we wrote about ourselves and the life experiences we had. Next we used informational skills because we had to organize our important and defining moments onto different formats thru out the project. The final skill that we used was Communication skills. We did all of this work, so we had to present at least some of this to the class in an effective and direct manner so everyone can easily understand it.
What are you proud of in this assignment?
I am the most proud of the fact that there were no late nights from me being behind on my work. This shows that I'm at least getting better at this whole self directional skill set that this school requires.
How did you develop or improve on your 21st century skills?
I defiantly improved upon the literacy analysis aspect of Thinking and Problem Solving. Mostly because I had to reflect on stories, most of them my own, more than most of the project that I had to complete.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
The most difficult aspect of this project was the fact that I had to reflect on my self and my life experiences and myself in general.
How would you improve your work if you could start over?
If I could start over I would work twords a better over quality and effort of my work and not to get caught up in other homework at the time.
How could this relate to what you have learned in the past?
This relates to my past projects thru self reflection. A lot of projects in middle school have worked on building skills related on self reflection, so we can look back on ourselves and see what went good and not so well.
How can you apply this to future learning?
I can apply this to future learning by reflecting back on every project I do to improve myself for the next project.
