About me
Hi my name is Keith. Some might say that I'm a nerd, and those people are absolutely right. I've always been that kid who took apart the old DVR or microwave to see how it worked and, to be honest, math is my favorite subject. Being able to solve a puzzle, like a Rubix cube or equation, is one of my favorite things to do. Honestly, that's why I want to peruse a degree in either mechanical or electrical engineering after high school. Engineering just seems like the perfect amount of problem solving and nerdiness for me.

Junior Year
Semester 2.
Honestly, I believe that this semester has been a massive improvement when compared to the last one. Now don't get me wrong, my classes have been much more difficult. But my teachers and I have gotten somewhat used to being in a global pandemic. And on top of that, with vaccines rolling out my school has started to open their doors a little bit for the students that still have teachers. Sadly I'm personally still being taught enterally over Zoom and Acellus, so I'm still missing out on my interpersonal and communication skills this semester. However, I'm still learning a ton about self direction because I don't exactly have a teacher constantly over my shoulder telling me what to do; I pretty much have to do that myself on just about all of my assignments. Instead of doing many presentations I get to learn how to balance work loads and meet deadlines all on my own. |
Semester 1.
This schoolyear was strange. Previous years were difficult too, like when we moved schools in my freshman year, but spending a school year in quarantine was far more different than doing school at the youth center for a couple of months. Any and all hopes of improving my Interpersonal Skills have gone out the window a long time ago. But that's not to say it's all bad, instead of working on group projects and practicing Interpersonal Skills I found myself focusing on self direction much more. I know that a lot of the assignments that I listed for this year don't mention Self Direction very much, but Self Direction is a huge part of each and every assignment that I have done this year so far.

Sophomore Year
Semester 2.
This semester was, interesting to say the least. We didn't seem to have quite as many projects, but the ones we did have were extremely fun. I found that the robotics and computer science work that I did was especially interesting. In those projects I felt that it was obvious that I personally knew much more about those subjects than I did in semester 1. Semester 1. Semester 1 of my Sophomore year almost seemed like a dry spell for projects. Most of the teachers have to deal with the sudden influx of new students, and in semester 1 specifically, we seem to be studying more than working on projects. That being said, we've still worked on some projects and were probably going to work a lot more on projects in semester two. Even though there weren't quite as many projects this semester as others, we still managed to do everything from robotics to history projects. |
Freshman Year
Semester 2.
I'm gonna just start off with saying that this semester was much better than my first semester of my freshman year. For starters, we had an actual school at the beginning of the semester. We even started to work on more complex and better projects, like my quarterly tech project, or even the documentary trailer for ELA. I think the projects in this past school year was a perfect reflection of the state of our school, with the projects getting better as the school was finished, and even after the school was built as the teachers were more and more comfortable the projects continued to get better. Semester 1.
Hi my name is Keith and I'm actually not even sure where to start this semester. At the start of the year we didn't even have a school and now we have a three story building to work with. The projects even showed some nice changes, not that they were bad before. It's just that we didn't have much time in class to work on them and we had to resort to working entirely at home. After that in quarter two we started to move to more engaging and complex projects. This includes but is certainly not limited to: A Photoshop touch-up of a stock photo, creating your country, and research a Spanish speaking country and presenting the information we found to the class. All of these projects have been, for the most part, done this quarter with the new school. This is why this semester isn't important to me just because of the projects, but because of the improvement of the projects with the recent changes to our school. |
